Day 16
This week our letter/sound work focused on b and f.
We focused on learning behavioral expectations in our school and classroom. Students have been working on demonstrating ROARS behaviors and have been earning blue tickets when they are following ROARS! Each Friday the office picks tickets to win a raffle prize!

Day 11
We have learned a lot this week in kindergarten! We began FUNdations (our phonics program). The mascot/puppet for Fundations is an owl. We learned owl facts and made an owl project. We know about lines that letters are formed on; skyline, plane line, grass line, and worm line. Letter t (lowercase) is our letter this week. We learned the name, sound and how to form letter t on our writing lines. We made a t-shirt project also! We are continuing to work on our classroom routines and playing/working cooperatively with our new classmates! Next week, we will learn letters b and f.

Picture Day!
It was picture day!!! All of the kiddos enjoyed getting their picture taken by the photographer! It was VERY warm in our classroom today so we got many drinks. Please make sure everyone has lots of cold drinks this evening! This week we continued to focus on routines and procedures. Students did a great job playing, working and interacting cooperatively! Next week we will begin Fundations (our phonics program)! Have a great weekend!!!

Goodbye Summer!
Hi Room 4 Parents and Students!
Summer vacation has come to an end and that is always a great time to reflect on the amazing memories that you have created with your families over the past few months! I did a lot of traveling with my family this summer to Washington DC, Virginia, South Carolina, Rhode Island and Puerto Rico! We had the best times on these trips exploring new and exciting places! What did you do this summer? Comment below if you would like to share.
